ABOUT
Bethany Taylor-Goh is a Singaporean/Northern Irish multi-hyphenate from London. Throughout her school years, she trained classically in piano, flute, and saxophone, self-taught guitar, and toured Europe as principal flautist of her school concert band. She later began composing, inspired by a love of film scores.
She went on to study Neuroscience at Queen Mary University of London, while she also trained and competed with three dance teams. She later completed an MSc in Neuroscience at Imperial College London, earning the Dean’s Prize for her research.
In 2022, she began actor training at Identity School of Acting before joining Collective Acting Studio's three-year part-time course, which she completed in July 2025. It was there she began filmmaking - writing and directing her debut short The Interview with cast and crew from the studio. The film has since won ten Best Short Film awards worldwide, a Best First Time Filmmaker award at a BAFTA-Cymru qualifying festival, and received ten additional festival selections.
She continues to write, direct, produce, and act in her own projects—often blending her background in neuroscience into her writing. In 2024, she co-directed, produced, and starred in a TV pilot which is now in post-production. She is passionate about representation in the industry and serves as the Deputy Director of the 5-star rated Collective Film Festival London, a platform dedicated to championing filmmakers from underrepresented communities.
